S3 history
We first investigate World War Two. We explore the causes of the conflict, different ideologies, German success in the early stages of the war, the home front in both Britain and Germany, war on a world stage, the closing stages of the war and finding peace in Europe. Pupils can show their skills and knowledge through their investiagtion and presentation into the British home front.
Then we explore the Holocaust. We look at key concepts such as genocide, the gradual persecution of Jews and other groups, the experiences of survivors, justice for those involved and why learning about the Holocaust is important. Pupils will be able to demonstrate their skills, knowledge and understanding through their Warsaw Ghetto investiagtion.
